The Turkish demonstration site is a hospital building, at the Adnan Menderes University (ADU) in the Western Turkish province of Aydın.

The Turkish university hospital building set for energy efficiency retrofits is being insulated with local mineral insulation material on all surfaces and the roof. Besides the passive solution, solar concentrating power system (largest in Turkey, used for building), ORC and an adsorption chiller system are used, as active system solutions. 50% energy consumption reduction is expected, after the retrofitting is completed.
